Minister Sanjay Rathod Inspects Wadali Lake Area, Reviews Development Plans

Amravati, May 2026: Maharashtra Soil and Water Conservation Minister Sanjay Rathod on Friday inspected the Wadali Lake area in Amravati and reviewed the ongoing and proposed development works in the region. During the visit, he also inspected the proposed site for the memorial of revered Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray and held detailed discussions with concerned officials.

During the inspection, Minister Rathod directed officials to prepare a plan for constructing a grand, attractive, and iconic memorial within the Wadali Garden premises. He emphasised that the memorial should be designed in such a way that it remains clearly visible from the city’s main roads.

The Minister said the proposed memorial should emerge as a landmark identity of Amravati city and become a major attraction for both citizens and tourists.

He further informed that a meeting would soon be organised at the government level to finalise all proposals related to beautification of the Wadali Lake area, tourism development, lighting arrangements, public amenities, and the construction of the memorial.

Rathod instructed officials to expedite all administrative and procedural formalities so that development works could begin without delay.

Several public representatives, corporators, women corporators, and officials from related departments were present during the inspection. Detailed and positive discussions were held regarding the comprehensive development of the Wadali Lake area and the proposed design of the memorial.

Citizens’ Issues Cannot Be Ignored: Minister Sanjay Rathod

Yavatmal, May 16: Guardian Minister Sanjay Rathod has warned officials that negligence towards citizens’ grievances will not be tolerated and directed departments to ensure immediate resolution of pending public issues.

He was speaking during review meetings held at Rajeshwar Mangal Karyalaya in Digras and government rest houses in Darwha and Ner regarding action taken on online complaints and representations submitted by citizens from Digras, Darwha, and Ner talukas.

Senior officials from various departments, government employees, and a large number of citizens attended the meetings.

During the discussions, Minister Rathod reviewed several public grievances with concerned officials and resolved multiple issues on the spot. He also issued clear instructions to ensure immediate disposal of pending cases and provide relief to citizens without unnecessary delay.

The Minister stressed that delays in official work and ignorance towards public complaints would no longer be accepted. He directed officials to ensure that no complaint remains pending and that every case is handled with urgency and sensitivity.

Complaints Resolved on the Spot

During the meetings, Rathod directly contacted secretaries in the state ministry regarding some important matters and ensured immediate resolution of citizens’ grievances on the spot. The swift action taken by the Minister drew appreciation from citizens present at the meetings.
