ED Raids AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan’s Residence: Khan Alleges Arrest Attempt
Amanatullah Khan, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Delhi’s Okhla constituency, claimed that a team from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), accompanied by Delhi Police, arrived at his residence on the morning of September 2nd to arrest him. Khan shared this information through a post on X (formerly Twitter), alerting the public to the ED’s actions.
Rajya Sabha MP from AAP, Sanjay Singh, also commented on the situation by sharing a video of the raid, accusing the Prime Minister and the ED of continuing a dictatorial approach. Reports indicate that Khan did not open the door when the ED and police arrived. The raid was part of an ongoing investigation into alleged money laundering related to the Waqf Board.
Khan, on Instagram, condemned the raid, calling it an act of harassment by the “dictator” and questioning the government’s motives. He expressed frustration over being targeted for serving the public. Sanjay Singh echoed these sentiments, criticizing the ED’s actions and alleging that there is no concrete evidence against Khan. Singh pointed out that Khan’s mother-in-law, who is battling cancer, had just undergone surgery, yet the raid was conducted early in the morning, which he described as an example of Modi’s “dictatorship” and the ED’s “hooliganism.”
