Administration on High Alert for Successful Conduct of Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 on May 24; Chief Secretary Issues Guidelines
Jaipur, May 2026 : A high-level review meeting was held at the state Secretariat on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026, scheduled to be held on May 24.
The Chief Secretary stated that a large number of candidates will appear at 125 examination centres across Ajmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur and Udaipur districts. He directed the authorities to ensure adequate arrangements for transport and law and order so that candidates do not face any inconvenience during the examination.
Considering the prevailing high temperatures in the state, he also instructed officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply in and around examination centres. Special emphasis was laid on maintaining proper arrangements for security, traffic management, drinking water, electricity, and medical facilities.
The Chief Secretary reviewed all preparedness measures and directed that sensitive examination centres should be placed under enhanced surveillance. He stressed that officers must remain alert and act with full responsibility to ensure that no irregularities or disruptions occur during the examination process.
He further instructed district collectors of Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur, who were connected through video conferencing, along with police and other concerned departments, to work in close coordination. He said that the examination must be conducted in a completely transparent, fair and well-organised manner.
Senior officials attended the meeting, including Director General of Police Shri Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary (Administrative Reforms) Shri Dinesh Kumar, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Shri Vijay Kumar Singh, Jaipur Police Commissioner Shri Sachin Mittal, National Health Mission Commissioner Dr. Joga Ram, Secretary (Personnel) Smt. Archana Singh, Jaipur District Collector Shri Sandesh Nayak, Joint Secretary (Home Department) Smt. Anjali Rajoria, Additional Police Commissioner (Law and Order) Dr. Rajeev Pachar, along with other senior officers from concerned departments.
The meeting concluded with a clear directive that all agencies must remain on alert mode until the completion of the examination process to ensure a smooth, secure, and fair conduct of the nationwide competitive exam.
