PM Modi’s Instagram Reel Crosses 303 Million Views in 24 Hours, Sets New Global Benchmark

New Delhi, July 2026 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created a new milestone in the digital world, with one of his Instagram reels crossing an unprecedented 303 million views within 24 hours, setting what is being described as a new global benchmark for engagement on the platform.

The record-breaking response came after the Prime Minister shared a late-night video message addressing the concerns of students over examination paper leaks and outlining the Centre’s proposed measures to strengthen the integrity of competitive examinations. The video quickly gained traction across social media, attracting millions of views, likes, shares and comments from users in India and abroad.

The remarkable digital engagement surpassed the previous global benchmark of around 300 million views for an Instagram reel within a single day, highlighting the Prime Minister’s extensive social media reach and his ability to connect directly with audiences through digital platforms.

Following the overwhelming response, PM Modi released another video message beginning with the words, “Thank you friends,” expressing gratitude to citizens, particularly young people, for their support and valuable suggestions. He said the enthusiastic participation and constructive feedback reflected the strength of India’s democratic dialogue and the growing engagement of the youth in national issues.

The follow-up message came as the Prime Minister acknowledged the massive online interaction generated by his earlier address. He emphasised that public participation and feedback play an important role in shaping governance and strengthening the relationship between the government and citizens.

In his initial video, the Prime Minister had spoken about the importance of protecting students from the adverse impact of examination irregularities. He said the government had worked over the past several weeks to ensure that students did not lose an academic year because of disruptions caused by paper leak incidents.

PM Modi also announced that the Union Cabinet would move forward with a stringent legal framework aimed at preventing future examination leaks. The proposed measures include the establishment of fast-track courts for speedy trials and stringent punishment for individuals and organised networks involved in examination fraud.

The video struck a chord with young audiences, triggering an extraordinary wave of engagement across social media platforms. Reports indicated that the Prime Minister’s social media accounts witnessed a sharp increase in followers following the release of the message, reflecting widespread public interest in the issue.

In his latest address, PM Modi reiterated his appreciation for the support shown by citizens and expressed confidence that continued dialogue with the youth would further strengthen the country’s democratic fabric.

“This love and trust inspire us to work harder. Your suggestions are valuable, and together we will continue building a stronger and more vibrant India,” the Prime Minister said, thanking people for their unprecedented digital support.
