Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Inaugurates Various Development Projects in Karmala Assembly Constituency

Foundation Stone Laid for New Administrative Building in Karmala by Deputy Chief Minister

Solapur, September 24 (DGIPR) – The state government has sanctioned significant funds for various development projects in the Karmala Assembly Constituency. These projects include works under the Solapur District Integrated Tourism Development Plan, with a budget of ₹282.75 crore, a new administrative building in Karmala city with an approved budget of ₹34.68 crore, and road works in Karmala Taluka under the HAM scheme, totaling ₹271 crore. The foundation stone for the Integrated Tourism Development Plan and the administrative building, along with the inauguration of road works, was laid by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

Present at the event were MP Sunil Tatkare, Chairperson of the State Women’s Commission Rupali Chakankar, Karmala Assembly MLA Sanjay Shinde, Madha Assembly MLA Babanrao Shinde, former MLA Jaywantrao Jagtap, Sub-Divisional Officer Priyanka Ambekar, Executive Engineer of Public Works Department Sunita Patil, Deputy Engineer Kadlik Ubale, Tehsildar Shilpa Thokde, and other dignitaries.

Solapur district is of great significance for tourism. By promoting tourism, local tourism-related industries can expand, leading to considerable employment generation, boosting the district’s economy, and helping to curb migration. Development projects totaling ₹282.75 crore under the district’s Integrated Tourism Development Plan were initiated today at Karmala by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. These projects include Ujani Water Tourism at ₹190.19 crore, Agro Tourism at ₹19.30 crore, Vineyard Tourism at ₹48.26 crore, and Religious Tourism at ₹25 crore.

Additionally, there was a pressing need for a new administrative building to house various sub-divisional and taluka-level offices in Karmala city. A fund of ₹34.68 crore has been sanctioned for this building, and its foundation stone was laid by Mr. Pawar. Furthermore, under the Road Development Corporation’s HAM (Hybrid Annuity Model), ₹271.55 crore has been allocated for the construction of a 71-kilometer road from Sawdi District Border, Karmala Taluka, to Venegaon, Madha Taluka. The inauguration of this road work was also carried out by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
