Hon’ble Governor Of Mizoram Indra Sena Reddy Nallu Visits Kvk, Aizawl And College Of Vsc & Ah, Cau(I), Selesih
Aizawl : Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram, Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, visited the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Aizawl, and the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (VSc & AH), Central Agricultural University (CAU)(I), Selesih, today at 1:30 pm.
The Governor was warmly welcomed by Dr. Lalnuntluangi Hmar, Dean of the College of VSc & AH, CAU(I), Selesih, along with officials of the institution. The Governor first interacted with faculty members and staff of the KVK, as well as farmers from Selesih village, at the KVK conference hall. During the interaction, the Governor encouraged faculty members to continue their initiatives and future plans to advance the welfare of Mizoram’s farmers. He also advised the farmers to adopt improved agricultural practices, increase productivity, and seek guidance from KVK experts to enhance their yields. Additionally, he urged farmers to participate actively in training programs to improve their skills in farming and livestock rearing. He instructed KVK officials to provide more comprehensive training to farmers, livestock owners, and entrepreneurs.
Following the interaction, the Governor toured KVK’s demonstration farms and inspected facilities such as the soil testing laboratory, vermicompost unit, fish pond, and greenhouses. He later visited the College of VSc & AH farm, where he examined the livestock units, including the cattle shed, piggery, poultry, and sheep and goat units, and engaged with officials from the Department of Livestock Production Management.
