Accelerate the Implementation of Schemes to Provide Quick Benefits to Farmers – Secretary of Agriculture and Horticulture
Jaipur : Secretary of Agriculture and Horticulture, Mr. Rajan Vishal, directed officials to accelerate the implementation of departmental schemes to quickly deliver benefits to as many farmers as possible.
Mr. Rajan Vishal chaired a review meeting on Monday at Pant Krishi Bhawan, assessing the progress of departmental schemes with officials from the Horticulture Department.
The Secretary emphasized that budget announcements should be fully implemented and completed on time. He instructed departmental officials to provide maximum information about the schemes to farmers so that every farmer in rural areas can benefit from the state government’s initiatives.
During the meeting, the Secretary reviewed the progress of various schemes, including PM-KUSUM Component ‘B,’ drip and sprinkler irrigation, mini sprinklers, polyhouses, shade net houses, plastic mulch, community water sources, fruit orchards, onion storage, and pack houses.
He also stressed that to increase the production of horticultural crops and generate interest in horticulture among farmers, more farmers should be taken on field visits under crop demonstration experiments.
The meeting was attended by Horticulture Commissioner Mr. Suresh Kumar Ola, Additional Director (Horticulture) Mr. K.C. Meena, and other officials from the Horticulture Department.
