Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin, Addresses Media After Award Ceremony

Tamil Nadu Secretariat: Under a research initiative, 19 young students were awarded the “Sadthuk Sakalnak” and “Mamalannamail” accolades for their outstanding achievements.

Speaking to the media after the ceremony, Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin highlighted the efforts of the Dravidian model of governance in fostering educational development in Tamil Nadu. He mentioned the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Fellowship Program, which had recently inducted new students as part of its preliminary selection phase. The initiative aims to support single-cell research in collaboration with the Arathiten Mamalannam Educational Institute, which has been active since 2022.

The Deputy Chief Minister noted that the Hon’ble Chief Minister had allocated Rs. 6.5 crore to fund the fellowship program. The achievements of the 19 students today signify significant progress in the initiative, which will continue for the next two years, aiming to eliminate social evils and enhance the well-being of the people.

Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin expressed gratitude to the institutions involved, including the Arathiten Mamalannam Educational Institute, Trichy, Sennan Anya Nirokan Niyyar College, and the Ennudaya Aratukanalayum. Special thanks were extended to the project implementation team, including Mr. Thamaras Ahmed, Secretary of Project Implementation, and Mr. Pratap Er, Deputy Secretary, along with other government officers and finance officials.

The Deputy Chief Minister concluded the ceremony by reaffirming the government’s commitment to advancing educational opportunities and fostering innovative research in Tamil Nadu.
