CM Sai paid emotional tribute to former Rajya Sabha MP late Shri Gopal Vyas by attending his last rites
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today reached the residence of former Rajya Sabha MP Late Shri Gopal Vyas ji at Puraina on his demise and paid his last respects. Chief Minister Shri Sai met the bereaved family and consoled them. It is noteworthy that as per the wish of late Shri Gopal Vyas ji, his body will be donated to All India Institute of Medical Sciences. During this, Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, former Governor Shri Ramesh Bais, MLA Shri Vikram Usendi and public representatives were present.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that Shri Vyas was one of the pioneers of Chhattisgarh politics. He was a Rajya Sabha MP from Chhattisgarh state from 2006 to 2012. Shri Vyas ji was a great saint even while being a householder. His simplicity and modesty impressed everyone. The Chief Minister said that it was my good fortune that I got a chance to work with him. He always worked in the interest of the country and society. This is an irreparable loss for the country and the state.
Chief Minister Shri Sai, while recalling the days spent with Vyas ji, said that I got the opportunity to participate in programs with him on many occasions. Generally, we start a program by cutting the ribbon, but Vyas ji used to say that I personally do not like this. Our job is not to cut but to unite.
The Chief Minister paid humble tribute to the demise of Shri Vyas ji and prayed to God to provide strength to the bereaved family.
