Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Pays Tribute to Veteran Writer Father Francis Dibrito
Mumbai : “Former President of Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, senior literary figure, and social activist, Father Francis Dibrito, made significant contributions to Marathi literature and social and environmental movements,” said Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
Father Francis Dibrito, a Christian religious leader with a deep understanding of Indian culture and saint literature, worked tirelessly for social enlightenment. Through his lectures, he promoted unity, brotherhood, peace, and social harmony. The weekly publication ‘Suvarta’ addressed environmental, civic, and social issues effectively. His dedicated work for the Harit Vasai movement will always be remembered. With his passing, we have lost a writer and activist who championed environmentalist thoughts. I share in the grief of his family and followers,” Pawar stated while remembering the contributions of Father Francis Dibrito and paying an emotional tribute to him.
