Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel Visits Udaipur, Meets Bar Association Representatives at Circuit House
Jaipur : Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Jogaram Patel visited Udaipur on Saturday. During his visit, he interacted with the general public and intellectuals at the Circuit House.
Discussion with Bar Association Representatives
At the Circuit House, Shri Patel also met with representatives of the Bar Association, who submitted a memorandum requesting the establishment of a High Court bench in Udaipur. During the discussion, Shri Patel deliberated on judicial infrastructure, the new court complex, and other related matters while also gathering suggestions from the representatives.
The Bar Association representatives informed Minister Shri Patel that a large population in southern Rajasthan has been deprived of social, economic, judicial, and equality rights due to their inability to access the state’s highest court (High Court). For the past 43 years, the people of this region have been demanding the establishment of a permanent bench of the Rajasthan High Court in Udaipur. They emphasized that Udaipur’s unique historical, geographical, economic, and social conditions, as well as specific constitutional provisions, justify the need for a permanent bench in the region.
