Electoral Roll Observer Chairs Meeting on Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls in Aizawl District

Aizawl : A meeting on the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls 2025 was held today at the Aizawl DC Office Conference Hall, chaired by the Electoral Roll Observer, Dr. Lalrozama.

The meeting was attended by Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) of Aizawl District, representatives of political parties, and members of prominent organizations such as the CYMA, MHIP, and MUP. Various essential matters were discussed, including the critical updates and actions required for the smooth conduct of the revision process. EROs and AEROs provided insights into their ongoing e-roll hearings and highlighted the importance of cooperation from political parties and NGOs in ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

In Aizawl District, there are currently 12 EROs and 12 AEROs overseeing the revision process. According to the draft photo electoral rolls, the total number of electors in the district stands at 288,962, comprising 135,159 male voters and 153,803 female voters.

Additionally, the district has 324 polling stations, with each station assigned one Booth Level Officer (BLO) to facilitate the process.
