Madhya Pradesh reaped the benefits of Prime Minister Modi’s exceptional global reputation during the recent six-day visit to the UK and Germany, securing investment proposals worth approximately ₹78,000 crore from industrialists and investors. These investments are poised to drive the state’s overall development and create substantial employment opportunities for its techno-savvy youth. Speaking with the media on November 30 at Samatva Bhawan in the Chief Minister’s residence after returning from the foreign tour, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that the visit aimed not only to attract investments but also to explore key industries, research centers, educational institutions, and cultural hubs to bolster the state’s holistic growth. The goal was to inspire the youth of Madhya Pradesh, foster employment opportunities, and position the state as a global hub for investment, technological collaboration, and cultural exchange. Dr. Yadav further stated that the visit was strategically designed to present Madhya Pradesh as a future-ready state and to promote partnerships across various sectors. A concerted effort was also made to highlight and attract participation in the upcoming Global Investors Summit, scheduled to be held in Bhopal in February 2025. The tour showcased Madhya Pradesh’s readiness to embrace global collaborations and set new benchmarks in development.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the focus sectors for investment during his visit to the UK and Germany were minerals, semiconductors, health, automobile, electronic vehicle (EV), renewable energy, education, and food processing. During the visit to UK and Germany, in-depth discussions were held with investors to promote investment to accelerate industrial, technological, and environmental development in the state. Technological research, green energy, and industrial development in Germany were particularly discussed. Here the focus was on strategies to promote industries with environmental sustainability.

Decision to allot land to investor company worth Rs 100 crore immediately impresses foreign investors

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that foreign investors were highly impressed by the industrial-friendly policy of the Future Ready State Madhya Pradesh when after a discussion with the officials and the company head, the decision to allot the land to the company was immediately taken and the allotment letter was handed over. In the technical sector, a proposal was made in the Sagar Regional Industry Conclave by a German and Indian company to jointly set up a unit in Acharpura, Bhopal. The German investor of this company was provided land allotment letter in Germany. The company will invest more than Rs 100 crore in Bhopal.

Rs 3000 crore investment in health sector in Indore

The discussions on investment in the health and pharmaceutical sectors yielded encouraging results. An investment proposal of Rs 3000 crore has been received in this sector. The company will set up its plant in the Smart Industrial Park of Indore. The company gave its full consent after observing the policy of Madhya Pradesh. After discussing with the managers of the company working in the health sector, an immediate decision was taken to allot the land. The health sector has attracted investors to produce modern medical equipment and medicines.

Abundant mineral resources will contribute to employment generation

During the foreign visit, the focus was on setting up various industrial units for better utilization of the abundant reserves of mineral resources in the state. There was also an in-depth discussion on equipping the mining and metal industries with modern technologies and attracting foreign investment in these sectors. A one-to-one meeting was held with representatives of Ispat International and Indorama companies and meaningful investment discussions were held.

Investment proposal of Rs 25 thousand crore received for semiconductor manufacturing

Significant success has been achieved in the very important sector semiconductor manufacturing and electronics hardware. SRAM for Semiconductor and Science Technology Park in Madhya Pradesh during the foreign trip. An investment proposal of Rs 25 thousand crore has been received by SRAM & MRAM Group for Semiconductor and Science Technology Park in Madhya Pradesh. Investment proposals worth Rs 150 crore received in solar energy sector

During the foreign trip, discussions were held focusing on all the areas for development in the state. In the discussions held for investment in solar power generation and equipment manufacturing, Ejea Limited and Azia Limited have received investment proposals of Rs 50 crore and Rs 100 crore respectively from solar power.

Dairy industry will get a boost

During the foreign trip, there was a detailed discussion with Polish company PPH Tamer on increasing productivity in the dairy industry and setting up modern processing units. Plans were made to start new projects in this area in collaboration with indigenous and foreign companies.Besides, a round-table meeting was also held with experts on the use of new technologies for the development of the sector.

Investment proposal of Rs 1100 crore received in IT sector

The work being done in the field of IT in the state will gain momentum as a result of the foreign trip.Various interactive sessions and round-table discussions took place on software and the creation of IT parks. Many investors have shown their interest in investing in the IT sector. Woodpecker Software received a proposal to invest Rs 1,100 crore in the chemical and IT sectors.

Investment in infrastructure will open up and increase employment opportunities

The UK visit to establish Madhya Pradesh as a global investor center has opened up opportunities for multi-sector investment in the state, which will boost employment and economic growth.By visiting the King’s Cross Urban Rejuvenation Project in the UK, we got useful information to understand urban redevelopment projects and work on similar projects in Madhya Pradesh. Besides, Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) was also visited and the plan to work with WMG in the auto testing track built at Pithampur in Dhar district, keeping in view the needs of the state, was also discussed with the experts of the automobile sector. BEM Limited has proposed to invest Rs 1,000 crore in the modular housing project.Infrastructure development, modern transportation system, automobile sector and other projects like smart cities and residential facilities were also discussed with a variety of experts.

Visit to SFC Energy in Munich and discussion with Baerlocher Group

During the trip to Germany, we visited the important energy plant SFC Energy in Brunnthal, Munich, and discussed about better use of technology in the context of Madhya Pradesh. CEO Dr. Peter Podessar informed about the plant and energy. The discussion on SFC Energy’s innovations in clean energy solutions and their potential applications in Madhya Pradesh was explored. A discussion was held with the Baerlocher Group, the leader in plastic additives, in Munich. The meeting discussed the expansion of Baerlocher’s operations, the exploration of new technological capabilities, and the adoption of environment-friendly technologies. The group has been operating a manufacturing unit in Dewas since 2001.

Visit to the Lapp Group Institute in Stuttgart

The German trip included a visit to the Lapp Group, a renowned company specializing in cable and connection technology in Stuttgart. After meeting with the company’s experts, there was an in-depth discussion about investment opportunities and potential partnerships in the field of advanced manufacturing and industrial automation. A round-table meeting was also held to discuss investment prospects highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s strategic advantages and investor-friendly policies.

MoU with Natural Historical Museum

We visited the Natural History Museum located in Stuttgart. An MoU was signed between Madhya Pradesh government and the museum. The MoU will promote cultural and educational exchange between Germany and Madhya Pradesh (India). This will help in presenting the cultural heritage of the state on a global platform.

Foreign travel will create new employment opportunities for techno-friendly youth

The visit to UK and Germany has brought better opportunities for employment generation for the techno-friendly youth. Investment by UK and Germany in the state will bring advanced technology to technical institutions. While on the one hand, this will give opportunities to our youth to move ahead, on the other hand, the institutions of the state will get a global character.During a visit to Warwick University of UK, it was discussed how to make innovative skill development in the education and skill sector useful for the youth of Madhya Pradesh.

There was also discussion on opening a German Language Institute in Madhya Pradesh to further deepen the historical relations with Germany. This will remove the language-related challenge and our youth will be able to take advantage of the employment opportunities available in Germany.German company ISMC proposed to work for this so that language barriers for employment opportunities could be removed.

We interacted with the Indian expatriate community in Germany and the UK, highlighting their achievements and encouraging them to invest in Madhya Pradesh. Interactive sessions were also organized. The strength of the state’s culture, tourism, and industry was showcased in programmes like ‘Diaspora and Friends of Madhya Pradesh’ in Munich and London.

Visit to the British Parliament, floral tributes paid to great Indian heroes

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that on the first stop of his foreign trip, he visited both the houses of the UK Parliament, ‘House of Lords’ and ‘House of Commons’. It reflects the democratic values ​​between the two countries and is a symbol of strengthening the relations between the two countries in the future. Certainly, this will increase cooperation in the areas of trade and investment between the two countries, especially Madhya Pradesh and UK.We remembered the contribution of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi to the freedom movement by paying floral tributes at his statue, located in the British Parliament House complex in the UK. Investment proposals worth Rs 2,76,070 crore were received from 5 regional industry conclaves held in the state in Ujjain, Gwalior, Rewa, Jabalpur, Sagar and road shows held in the country’s metropolitan cities Mumbai, Coimbatore, Bangalore and Kolkata. This will create 3,28,670 jobs.We are ready to go everywhere to bring investment in Madhya Pradesh, whether it is inside the country or outside the country.
