Mahapreet Signs MoU with CREDAI-MCHI

Mumbai : To study air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in the city and prepare an effective strategic framework to reduce them, Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited (Mahapreet) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CREDAI-MCHI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India – Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry).

Under this agreement, Mahapreet will conduct a scientific study specifically on air pollution and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions resulting from building constructions and completed structures in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The objective is to prepare a robust strategic framework to mitigate pollution based on this study.

During the signing of the MoU, Mahapreet’s Managing Director, Bipin Shrimali, stated that this study will help investigate the pollution caused by building construction activities and quantify its extent. Additionally, it will present measures to reduce pollution through appropriate technical tools and management strategies. He emphasized that implementing the recommendations of this study report will significantly contribute to reducing air pollution.
