Mukhya Mantri Yuva Annadoot Yojana beneficiaries to get insurance of Rs 14 lakh for Rs 3064
Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput has said that an insurance of Rs 14 lakh will be provided to the contracted transporters of Yuva Annadoot Yojana at an annual premium of only Rs 3064. He said that in the event of the untimely death of any beneficiary of this scheme, the family would have to face a financial crisis for lack of any assistance.
Minister Shri Rajput said that 3 insurance schemes will be implemented for the insurance of the beneficiaries. Of these, the group insurance scheme will be implemented from February 2025. Its annual premium is Rs 2608 and the sum assured is Rs 10 lakh. Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana will be implemented in June 2025. Its annual premium is Rs 436 and the sum assured is Rs 2 lakh. Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana will be implemented in June 2025. Its annual premium is Rs 20 and the sum assured is Rs 2 lakh.
Under the scheme, in case of the death of a beneficiary in an accident, the entire insurance amount will be given from the date of issue of the policy. In case of the death of the beneficiary due to any other reason (except accident) after 30 days from the date of issue of the policy, the entire insurance amount will be given. In case of death due to other reasons within 30 days, 80 percent of the premium amount payable by the beneficiary will be paid. In case of suicide within one year from the date of issue of the insurance policy, no life insurance amount will be payable, only 80 percent of the premium amount payable will be paid. The age of the beneficiary should be between 18 to 60 years. Life insurance will be for one year, which must be renewed yearly. On the death of the beneficiary, the insurance amount will be given to the family.
Under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Rs 2 lakh in case of loss of use of both hands or both legs or one hand or one leg in case of accident and complete loss of vision in one eye or in case both eyes are not cured Rs 2 lakh insurance benefit will be given. Similarly, in case of loss of use of one hand or leg or loss of vision in one eye and its recovery, an insurance amount of Rs 1 lakh will be provided.
