“Prepare a Professional Action Plan for ND Studios” – Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar

Mumbai : ND Studio should be modernized, and expert consultants from the film production industry should be appointed to enhance its business potential. A professional action plan should be prepared to improve the financial viability of ND Studios, directed Cultural Affairs Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar.

A review meeting regarding the modernization of ND Studios was held at the ministry. The meeting was attended by MLA Mahesh Baldi, Principal Secretary of the Cultural Department Vikas Kharge, and senior officials from Film City and ND Studios.

Minister Shelar stated that it is the vision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the state government to provide supportive facilities that will benefit Marathi producers, artists, and technicians. Keeping this vision in mind, the modernization of ND Studios should be undertaken, considering the future trends in the entertainment industry. Guidance from expert consultants should be sought for creating a comprehensive plan.

The minister emphasized that the modernization process should focus on generating maximum employment opportunities, with priority given to locals. He also stressed the need for better utilization of vacant spaces available at the studio. Moreover, the studio should be equipped with facilities that cater to Marathi serials, films, web series, and OTT platform creators by incorporating modern technology.

Minister Shelar concluded by stating that these upgrades should be aligned with the evolving needs of the entertainment industry to support Marathi artists, producers, and technicians effectively.
