Eastern Railways Rolls Out Special Trains for Maha Kumbh Devotees!

Eastern Railways has brought it to the notice of its commuters:

1. TEMPORARY 02 MINUTES STOPPAGE OF 12382 Down NEW DELHI – HOWRAH POORVA EXPRESS AT PRAYAGRAJ STATION FROM 10.01.2025 TO 28.02.2025 of Lucknow Division, on the auspicious occasion of MAHA KUMBH.

• RAILWAYS’ BONANZA FOR MAHA KUMBH MELA DEVOTEES: 2 MORE SPECIAL TRAINS:

Railway is delighted to announce the operation of 18 pairs of Kumbh Mela Special trains which will run between Kamakhya & Tundla and Bhagalpur & Kanpur Central. This initiative will generate more than 17,000 berths, providing safe, comfortable, and convenient travel options for devotees embarking o­n their sacred journey.

1. 04153 Kanpur Central – Bhagalpur Kumbha Mela Special will leave Kanpur Central at 14:00 hours on every Monday between 06.01.2025 to 17.02.2025 (05 trips) to reach Bhagalpur at 09:15 hours the next day. The train will stop at Fatehpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Buxar, Ara, Danapur, Patliputra, Hajipur, Barauni, Begusarai, Monghyr, Sultan Ganj stations enroute.

• 04154 Bhagalpur – Kanpur Central Kumbha Mela Special will leave Bhagalpur at 11:00 hours on every Tuesday between 07.01.2025 to 18.02.2025 (05 trips) to reach Kanpur Central at 04:30 hours the Next day. The train will stop at Sultan Ganj, Monghyr, Begusarai, Barauni, Hajipur, Patliputra, Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Mirzapur, Prayagraj and Fatehpur stations enroute. The train will have General Second Class, Sleeper Class and Air-Conditioned accommodations.

• 05611 Kamakhya – Tundla Kumbha Mela Special will leave Kamakhya at 05:30 hours on 09.01.2025, 25.01.2025, 08.02.2025 & 22.02.2025 (04 trips) to reach Tundla at 19:20 hours the next day. The train will stop at Abhaipur, Jamalpur, Sultan Ganj, Bhagalpur, Kahalgaon, Sahebganj, Barharwa, New Farakka, Malda Town stations enroute along the Eastern Railway Jurisdiction.

• 05612 Tundla – Kamakhya Kumbha Mela Special will leave Tundla at 03:00 hours on 11.01.2025, 27.01.2025, 10.02.2025 & 24.02.2025 (04 trips) to reach Kamakhya at 17:45 hours the next day. The train will stop at Malda town, New Farakka, Barharwa, Sahebganj, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Sultan Ganj, Jamalpur and Abhaipur stations along the Eastern Railway Jurisdiction enroute. The train will have General Second Class, Sleeper Class and Air-Conditioned accommodations.
