CM Stalin Inaugurates Key Workers’ Welfare and Skill Development Projects

In the welfare and skill development sector, various projects have been inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. M. K. Stalin, under the Workers’ Welfare and Skill Development Department, with an estimated cost of Rs. 27.33 crores. The projects include a workers’ welfare center, government-run vocational training centers, hostels, and regional training director offices across multiple locations.

Today, (13.01.2025), in the inauguration ceremony, Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. M. K. Stalin launched several projects in the Villupuram District, including a workers’ welfare center in V. Maruthur and a government vocational training center in Ramana Puram. These developments are part of an overall investment of Rs. 27.33 crores, aimed at enhancing workers’ welfare and improving skill training opportunities. These efforts are intended to ensure fair and dignified employment conditions, particularly for marginalized workers.

Additionally, government initiatives in various districts focus on improving access to worker welfare, retirement benefits, insurance, and other necessary social services. Through these projects, the Tamil Nadu government is also working to create better infrastructure for training and welfare in several areas across the state. The inauguration also included the announcement of new government vocational training centers in various locations like Pudukkottai and Krishnagiri, along with improvements to existing facilities.

Note: A number of esteemed officials, including the Minister for Labour and Skill Development, Mr. C. C. Mayan, and other senior bureaucrats from the department, were present during the inauguration.
