Horticulture Fair Cum Exhibition 2025 Held At Kolasib

Kolasib : The Horticulture Fair cum Exhibition 2025, organized by the Kolasib District Horticulture Office, was inaugurated today at Kolasib Venglai Bazar building by Pu Robert C Lalhmangaiha, Deputy Commissioner of Kolasib, as the chief guest.

Speaking at the event, the chief guest highlighted the importance of the Horticulture Department in driving agricultural development in the region. He emphasized that the government has made significant progress in supporting farmers engaged in horticulture and that Kolasib District has advanced considerably in developing new crops and products thanks to their hard work and determination. He expressed delight at the beautiful flowers, innovative crops, and new products showcased at the exhibition. He also praised the Kolasib Agro Marketing Cooperative Society for their innovative products, such as Dragon Fruit and Juice extracted from Theiherawt (Roselle), which are important milestones for the region’s progress.

Today’s program was chaired by Pu Lalnunpuia, District Horticulture Officer. The exhibition featured 17 stalls displaying various horticultural products, innovative crops, agricultural techniques, flowers, and plants of different varieties. Awards were also distributed to outstanding participants in the exhibition.

The Horticulture Fair cum Exhibition is planned to be a two-day event.
