A team of doctors at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital (SRN Hospital) successfully saved the life of an 85-year-old Nepalese devotee suffering from an ischemic stroke. Senior neurophysician Dr. Kamlesh Sonkar, along with a team of six expert doctors, acted swiftly, ensuring the complete recovery of the elderly man, Ramdhani. Expressing her gratitude, his daughter described CM Yogi Adityanath and the SRN doctors as life saviors, acknowledging the high-level medical facilities arranged for the Maha Kumbh. She emphasized that specialist doctors stationed at the festival were instrumental in saving her father’s life.

Life-Saving Thrombolysis Procedure

Ramdhani, a resident of Lumbini, Nepal, had been staying at Mouni Baba’s ashram, Shanti Kutia, for the past month, chanting “Ram Naam”. On the night of February 14, he suddenly experienced weakness on the right side of his body, difficulty speaking, and mild unconsciousness. His family members immediately rushed him to the trauma center at SRN Hospital, where specialists diagnosed him with ischemic stroke. Dr. Kamlesh Sonkar and his team promptly initiated the thrombolysis procedure, successfully removing the blockage and stabilizing his condition.
