Maha Kumbh Nagar : The Yogi Adityanath government’s efforts to ensure the safety and health of devotees at Maha Kumbh are proving successful. A team of doctors at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital (SRN Hospital) successfully saved the life of an 85-year-old Nepalese devotee suffering from an ischemic stroke. Senior neurophysician Dr. Kamlesh Sonkar, along with a team of six expert doctors, acted swiftly, ensuring the complete recovery of the elderly man, Ramdhani. Expressing her gratitude, his daughter described CM Yogi Adityanath and the SRN doctors as life saviors, acknowledging the high-level medical facilities arranged for the Maha Kumbh. She emphasized that specialist doctors stationed at the festival were instrumental in saving her father’s life.

Life-Saving Thrombolysis Procedure

Ramdhani, a resident of Lumbini, Nepal, had been staying at Mouni Baba’s ashram, Shanti Kutia, for the past month, chanting “Ram Naam”. On the night of February 14, he suddenly experienced weakness on the right side of his body, difficulty speaking, and mild unconsciousness. His family members immediately rushed him to the trauma center at SRN Hospital, where specialists diagnosed him with ischemic stroke. Dr. Kamlesh Sonkar and his team promptly initiated the thrombolysis procedure, successfully removing the blockage and stabilizing his condition.

Under CM Yogi Adityanath’s directives, hospitals at the Maha Kumbh have been equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities. The SRN Hospital Trauma Center, featuring advanced imaging technology, experienced doctors, and rapid emergency services, has become a lifeline for patients. Dr. Rajkumar Chaudhary, co-nodal officer of the SRN Trauma Center, confirmed that continuous improvements have been made to the hospital’s facilities, ensuring that every devotee at Maha Kumbh receives the best possible medical care.

Ramdhani’s daughter, Rita, extended heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kamlesh Sonkar, Dr. Prabhat Singh, Dr. Archana Ojha, Dr. Sandeep, Dr. Sujeet, Dr. Tej Pratap, and the entire neurology team. The family credited the Yogi government’s exceptional healthcare services for giving Ramdhani a new lease on life.
