Jaipur – As per the directives of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the Rajasthan government is fully committed to ensuring the fair, transparent, and systematic conduct of the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET)-2024. To effectively implement all examination-related arrangements, Chief Secretary Shri Sudhanshu Pant chaired a high-level meeting with officials from various departments at the Secretariat on Wednesday. The meeting focused on maintaining the integrity of the examination, security, and confidentiality of question papers and OMR sheets, law and order, safe transportation of exam materials, candidate facilities, and other key aspects, with necessary guidelines issued accordingly.
Strict SOP Implementation and Security Measures
Chief Secretary Shri Pant emphasized that just as the Election Commission enforces SOPs for every aspect of elections, REET 2024 will also follow strict SOPs, with zero tolerance for violations. To maintain law and order, he directed the deployment of adequate police forces and home guards at exam centers, strong rooms, and storage centers. Advanced technologies, including handheld metal detectors, biometric verification, and facial recognition, will be used to verify candidates’ identities and prevent impersonation. Suspicious activities will be closely monitored, and strict measures will be taken to prevent any irregularities or malpractices at exam centers.
Secure Transportation of Examination Materials
Shri Pant issued special directives for the secure transportation of exam materials from strong rooms to exam centers under police surveillance to ensure the confidentiality and safety of question papers. Additionally, officials from police, railways, and transport departments were instructed to identify high-traffic areas and implement effective crowd management strategies in advance.
Smooth Travel Arrangements for Candidates
The meeting included an analysis of exam centers and the district-wise distribution of candidates. To facilitate smooth travel, discussions were held on enhancing railway, metro, roadways, and private bus services. The railway administration was directed to arrange additional trains and coaches based on candidate numbers to ensure hassle-free travel.
Essential Facilities and Monitoring at Exam Centers
District Collectors were instructed to ensure the availability of drinking water, sanitation, electricity, and medical assistance at all exam centers. The entire examination process will be video recorded for transparency. A total of 1,731 exam centers have been assigned government officials and staff for duty. A list of dummy and debarred candidates will be provided to district collectors, police superintendents, and the Special Operations Group (SOG) for pre-exam monitoring.
Candidate Safety and Government’s Commitment
Chief Secretary Shri Pant emphasized that ensuring the safety and convenience of candidates is the state government’s top priority, enabling them to take the exam without obstacles and progress in their careers. The list of debarred candidates will be shared with the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board.
