Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma Divorce

No ₹60 Crore Alimony: Dhanashree Verma’s Family Sets the Record Straight

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma have officially divorced after living separately for 18 months. The final hearing took place at Bandra Family Court on Thursday, February 20, with both parties in attendance. Following the completion of legal proceedings, the couple mutually agreed to separate.

However, soon after the divorce, rumors surfaced claiming that Yuzvendra Chahal had paid a ₹60 crore alimony to Dhanashree Verma. These claims quickly spread across social media, leading to heated debates and online trolling. Dhanashree Verma’s lawyer, Aditi Mohani, has now refuted these reports, calling them entirely false and baseless.

Dhanashree’s Lawyer Calls Alimony Reports False

Speaking to the media, Aditi Mohani clarified, “The case is currently in court, and it is irresponsible for the media to report unverified figures. Many misleading claims are being spread.”

The false reports triggered a backlash on social media, with many users targeting Dhanashree with harsh remarks. Some labeled her an “opportunist” and a “gold digger” based on the unverified claim of a hefty alimony.

Dhanashree’s Family Denies Alimony Claims

A family member of Dhanashree, speaking to the Bombay Times on the condition of anonymity, also dismissed the reports. “We are deeply saddened by these baseless rumors. Let me make it absolutely clear—no such amount was asked for, demanded, or even offered. These claims are pure fabrication.”

Urging Media to Report Responsibly

The family further criticized the spread of misinformation, emphasizing the damage caused by such false reports. “Publishing such unverified information is highly irresponsible. It unnecessarily drags both Yuzvendra and Dhanashree, along with their families, into controversy. This kind of speculation only causes harm. We strongly urge the media to exercise restraint and conduct proper fact-checking before spreading such claims.”

The statement also appealed for privacy and respect for both parties. “This is a personal matter, and we request everyone to respect their privacy during this time.”

With these clarifications from both Dhanashree’s lawyer and her family, it is evident that the reports of a ₹60 crore alimony are completely false. The couple has parted ways amicably, and any financial details related to their settlement remain private.
