Maharashtra, known as the land of saints, is home to many important pilgrimage sites, where religious festivals and rituals take place on auspicious occasions. Festivals and celebrations are an integral part of our tradition, and it is our responsibility to preserve and promote our culture, said Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

During his visit to Shri Kshetra Kunakeshwar, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde offered prayers at the temple. Following the darshan, he was felicitated by Guardian Minister Nitesh Rane and the temple management committee. The event was attended by MP Narayan Rane, MLA Nilesh Rane, MLA Ravindra Phatak, and MLA Bhaiya Samant, among others.

Expressing his joy, Shinde stated that visiting Kunakeshwar had been a long-cherished wish. He emphasized the state government’s commitment to the development of the Konkan region, ensuring the implementation of new projects. He highlighted major infrastructure developments such as the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and the Nagpur-Mumbai Balasaheb Thackeray Samruddhi Highway. Additionally, he announced plans for a Mumbai-Sindhudurg expressway, which would boost development in the region.

Recognizing Sindhudurg as a key tourism district, Shinde reaffirmed his commitment to promoting tourism, which, in turn, would create employment opportunities for the local youth.
