CISF unit organizes mega blood donation and eye checkup camp at Punjab and Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh

Chandigarh – Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Unit Punjab and Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh, organised a mega blood donation camp in collaboration with Vishwas Foundation Panchkula, Red Cross Society Chandigarh, Agarwal Eye Hospital, Chandigarh and the Transfusion Department of PGIMER Chandigarh on the occasion of 56th CISF Raising Day.  

The camp was inaugurated with traditional lamp lighting by the Special Secretary to Government, Haryana, Secretariat Establishment,Sh. Samwartak Singh.The primary objective of this camp was to promote blood donation as a noble cause and encourage citizens to contribute to societal welfare.

The event was held at the Punjab and Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh, to facilitate maximum participation and enable a large number of individuals to
be a part of this noble cause. Agarwal Eye Hospital, Chandigarh, conducted complimentary eye checkups for all participants and employees of the secretariat, testing their visual acuity and promoting eye health awareness.

Sh. Samwartak Singh appreciated the CISF’s social role in promoting societal welfare and highlighted the benefits of blood donation. Dr. Sangeeta from PGIMER Chandigarh briefed personnel on the benefits and guidelines for blood donation. The Indian Red Cross Society, Chandigarh, extended its gratitude to all the donors by presenting them with appreciation certificates, recognizing their selfless contribution to this noble cause.

Senior Commandant, CISF Punjab and Haryana Civil Secretariat, Sh.Yogesh Prakash Singh, participated in this noble cause and expressed gratitude to all donors for their contributions to societal well-being.

Sh.Yogesh Prakash Singh emphasized that the CISF’s commitment extends beyond national security to encompass the social well-being of the nation, aiming to foster a community of healthy and empowered citizens. This reflects the CISF’s multifaceted role in ensuring not only the safety and security of critical infrastructure and public spaces but also contributing to the overall development and welfare of society.
