University and college teachers to be empaneled under Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana, new officers to be included: CM

Lucknow : Reviewing the progress of schemes run by the Social Welfare Department on Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to ensure 100% saturation of beneficiary-oriented welfare schemes in the state.

He said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, the state government is implementing various public welfare programs without any discrimination, following the principle of “Antyodaya to Sarvodaya.” He instructed officials to widely promote government welfare schemes so that more needy people become aware and can benefit from them.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stressed the need to link the Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojna (PM AJAY) grant-in-aid scheme with MSME, SRLM, and Mukhyamnatri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan to provide skill training to beneficiaries. This will help them use the financial assistance effectively. He also directed that women beneficiaries should be given priority in the selection process.

He further emphasized identifying self-employment opportunities for beneficiaries and providing them with proper training by integrating the scheme with PM Vishwakarma and the state’s Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana to help increase their income. He also highlighted the need to improve facilities in old-age homes, ensuring a more comfortable environment for senior citizens by valuing their experiences. He directed officials to arrange regular medical checkups and extend the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat scheme to elderly residents.

CM Yogi further highlighted that from the new financial year, the financial assistance under the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana has been increased from Rs 51,000 to Rs 1 lakh. He directed officials to prepare a proper action plan for its smooth implementation. He emphasized that at the district level, beneficiaries should be screened by the District Magistrate, CDO, and Social Welfare Officer to prevent misuse and ensure that no deserving person is left out. Officials will be held accountable for proper execution at the district level.

The Chief Minister also directed to improve facilities in Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Schools across the state. He directed that these schools should function at full capacity and provide high-quality education. To achieve this, he called for the appointment of skilled teachers and a 15-day orientation program for principals and teachers to enhance their connection with students. He highlighted that these schools should serve as centers of national inspiration and social harmony.

CM Yogi further highlighted the success of the Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana, which provides free coaching for competitive exams to talented but underprivileged youth. He emphasized the need to further expand the scheme so that more students can benefit and achieve their dreams.

He directed that university and college teachers be empaneled as instructors and that newly appointed officers in the state be involved in these coaching centers. He also stressed improving facilities in government-run Scheduled Caste (SC) hostels. He instructed officials to ensure proper maintenance, carry out necessary repairs immediately, and prioritize student safety.

He directed regular inspections by departmental ministers and officials and encouraged organizing various programs in hostels to create a better academic environment. He also suggested hosting debates on national unity and social equality, inspired by great leaders’ thoughts.

CM Yogi assured that there is no shortage of funds and directed for proactive efforts at the departmental level. He also recommended conducting orientation courses for hostel wardens to enhance hostel management and student support.

The Chief Minister highlighted the need to increase trained manpower in UP SIDCO to ensure timely and high-quality project completion. He directed that accountability be fixed at every level and that UP SIDCO collaborate with PWD, IITs, and AKTU to provide better training in civil engineering and architecture. He emphasized updating technical knowledge to meet changing requirements and stated that UP SIDCO’s work should establish a distinct identity in the state.

The Chief Minister stated that under the Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojna (PM AJAY), the Government of India has selected 10,384 villages in Uttar Pradesh for development under the Adarsh Gram Yojana. He directed that priority be given to villages with a high Scheduled Caste population.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the Social Welfare Department must coordinate with the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Departments to ensure the timely completion of all development projects in these villages.
