Organized at the premises of Nutan College in Selu from April 8 to 10, 2025, the Shibir aimed to deliver public welfare schemes to grassroots communities and make government departments more people-oriented.

Over 6,000 patients registered for treatment at the camp, where each patient’s condition was diagnosed and treated. Minister Bordikar emphasized that no patient should be deprived of medical services, especially when early diagnosis of conditions like cataracts and cancer is possible. She urged citizens to avoid tobacco consumption and stressed that timely screening and treatment for cancer can save lives.

She also announced that modern healthcare services would be made available across the district, including dialysis centers. Efforts are underway to upgrade the 30-bed hospitals in Bori and Jintur to 100-bed facilities, and the District Government Medical College building will soon be inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. A cancer hospital is also planned there.

Minister Bordikar visited the stalls set up at the Shibir and interacted with patients. Citizens and officials gathered in large numbers to greet her on her birthday. Executive Director Dhananjay Aundhekar gave a detailed presentation on the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, encouraging citizens to install solar panels on rooftops to reduce electricity bills and promote clean energy.

Dr. Nagesh Lakhmawar, District Civil Surgeon, in his welcome address, urged people to take full advantage of government schemes available through the Shibir.

The event saw participation from self-help group women, urban and rural residents, and youth. Several government departments and SHGs had stalls set up, drawing large crowds seeking information.

E-Inauguration of Dudgaon Solar Power Project

The 4-MW solar power project at Dudgaon in Jintur Taluka was connected to the 33/11 KV substation. As a result, 394 agricultural consumers in Dudgaon, Asegav, and Kaudgaon now receive 8 hours of quality daytime power supply. Minister Meghana Bordikar-Sakore virtually inaugurated the project and distributed benefits to beneficiaries of the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.

On her birthday, 4,000 calendars and 4,000 notebooks were distributed by service organizations. She also praised the Gangakhed Sub-District Hospital for ranking second statewide in performing major surgeries.

Selu to Become Maharashtra’s First Solar City – Meghana Bordikar-Sakore

Energy Minister and Guardian Minister Meghana Bordikar-Sakore announced that Selu city will be developed as Maharashtra’s first solar city by ensuring that every household benefits from the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.

She inaugurated the newly established MSEDCL Selu Division Office, created by reorganizing Parbhani Divisions 1 and 2 and shifting the headquarters of Division 2 to Selu.

She also stated that although a 132 KV substation was approved for Selu, some officials had submitted reports denying its necessity. Action will be taken against those responsible, as Selu, being a hub for cotton and goods trade, needs robust infrastructure.

Under the government’s Tangline program, MSEDCL must ensure prompt electricity supply. She called for aggressive awareness campaigns to promote the Surya Ghar Yojana and urged active participation to ensure that over 50,000 citizens in her constituency benefit from the scheme.
