Rahul has wounded the soul of Mother India and must apologize to millions of Hindus: Yogi Adityanath
Lucknow : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has strongly condemned the objectionable statement made by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in Parliament regarding Hindus.
Speaking to the media at his official residence on Monday, CM Yogi stated: “Rahul Gandhi’s condemnable remarks have wounded the soul of Mother India, for which he must apologize to millions of Hindus around the world.”
The Chief Minister remarked that it was hoped Rahul Gandhi would mature after becoming the Leader of the Opposition, but his statements reflect his childishness.
“Only an immature person would make such remarks. Hindus form the foundational society and soul of India. As Swami Vivekananda said, “Say with pride that we are Hindus.” Hinduism is not merely a caste or sect; it is the essence of India”, Yogi asserted.
Rahul Gandhi’s comments about Hindus are far from the truth and have wounded the very soul of India. He should apologize for this offence, he added.
The Chief Minister remarked further that the episode must have dispelled people’s illusions about Rahul Gandhi. should now be dispelled. “Congress should urge Rahul Gandhi to apologize to the people of India.”
CM Yogi emphasized that Hinduism represents tolerance, generosity, and gratitude. “How can the ‘prince’ of the group that calls themselves ‘accidental Hindus’ understand this?, he quipped. He described the Congress as being deeply involved in the politics of Muslim appeasement.
