Metro Railways to run 62 services on Purple Line from 13.05.2025 (Tuesday)
To meet the demand of commuters, Metro Railway Authorities are going to increase the numbers in Metro services on the Purple Line between Joka and Majerhat Metro stations from 13.05.2025 (Tuesday).
A total of 62 services (31 UP + 31 DN) on this stretch will be operated at an interval of 24 minutes from that day. At present, 40 services (20 UP + 20 DN) are being operated daily from Monday to Friday on Purple Line.
Service hours on this Corridor are also going to increase to 07:57 hrs to 20:17 hrs instead of 08:27 hrs to 15:43 hrs.
There will be no services on Saturdays & Sundays as usual.
FIRST SERVICE:
From Majerhat: At 07.57 hour (instead of 08.27 hours)
From Joka: At 08.00 hours (instead of 08.30 hours)
LAST SERVICE:
From Joka: At 20.00 hours (instead of 15.28 hours)
From Majerhat: At 20.00 hours (instead of 15.28 hours)
The Purple Line which was approved in the 2010-2011 railway budget, has an interchange with the Blue Line at Park Street and the Green Line at Esplanade.
