Retiring Members’ Performance Elevates Upper House Prestige, Inspires Future Generations – CM Eknath Shinde.

Mumbai, Dt. 4: “This hall is truly senior in Maharashtra. The retiring members have significantly enhanced its reputation through their performance today. This achievement has been recorded as history in the proceedings of the Legislature, and future generations will be able to study the work of this assembly from these records and draw inspiration from it,” stated Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

The retiring members of the Legislative Council were bid farewell today, and Chief Minister Shinde spoke on the occasion.

The members honored were Vilas Potnis, Niranjan Davkhare, Kishore Darade, Kapil Patil, Adv. Anil Parab, Mahadev Jankar, Dr. Manisha Kayande, Vijay alias Bhai Girkar, Babajani Durrani, Nilay Naik, Ramesh Patil, Ramrao Patil, Dr. Mirza Wajahat, Pragya Satav, and Jayant Patil.

Chief Minister Shinde remarked, “This upper house of Maharashtra is unique, with only six states in the country having such an upper house. This hall is held in high regard. Many luminaries and scholars who have become members of this House have set an example of parliamentary working systems in this country. Important laws related to the life of common citizens of Maharashtra have been passed here. The members retiring today have upheld the traditions of this House. They have raised the issues of the people in the upper house of the state using various parliamentary tools, enhancing the reputation of the Upper House through their work and doing justice to the people.”

The Chief Minister also wished the retiring members good luck for the future.
