Women Empowerment Mega Conference on May 31 in Bhopal to Mark 300th Birth Anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai: CM Dr. Yadav

The Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav began with the singing of Vande Mataram at Mantralaya on Tuesday. At the start, the Chief Minister and Cabinet Ministers paid floral tribute at the statue of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar and raised the slogan “Lokmata Ahilyabai Amar Rahein.” On this occasion, the Chief Minister and Ministers released a play booklet titled “Ahilya Rupen Sansthita” written by author Smt. Sadhna Balwate, based on the life of Devi Ahilyabai. Dr. Yadav congratulated the author for offering a heartfelt tribute to Lokmata.

Addressing ministers before the Cabinet meeting, Dr. Yadav informed that a state-wide campaign is underway from May 26 to May 31 to mark the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. He informed that On May 26, he visited Jabalpur and met with ‘Lijjat Papad’ women workers and local leader Gyaneshwari Devi. On May 27, ‘Jan Kalyani Parv’ was observed, with competitions across the state on Ahilyabai’s life and philosophy. On May 28, “Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Leadership Day” will be celebrated under ‘Srijansheel Ladli’, including a state-level Women’s Entrepreneurship Fair in Betul. On May 29, under ‘Arogyamayi Naari’, a Women’s Health & Wellness Day will be held in Chhatarpur. On May 30, special health camps will be held at district and block levels. On the same day, ‘Ahilya Vahini’ events will include dialogues with prominent women athletes and youth, as well as statewide women’s bike rallies on the theme, ‘Self-Reliant Women, Empowered Nation’.

Women Empowerment Mega Conference – May 31 in Bhopal

The grand culmination of these celebrations will be held on May 31 at Jamboree Maidan, Bhopal, with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi attending the Women Empowerment Mega Conference. The event will witness participation from around 2 lakh womenincluding entrepreneurs, workers, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and Ladli Bahnas.

On this occasion, PM Modi will virtually inaugurate Indore Metro Train Service, New Airports in Satna and Datia, Construction of a new ghat on the Kshipra River in Ujjain,CM Yadav instructed ministers in charge of Bhopal, Sehore, Raisen, Vidisha, Narmadapuram, Rajgarh, Dewas, Sagar, Betul, Harda, Narsinghpur, and Shajapur to make all necessary preparations. He emphasized that the entire program—from stage management to security—will be exclusively managed by women. Distinguished women achievers will welcome and honor the Prime Minister.

Next Cabinet Meeting on June 3 to be Held in Pachmarhi

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav informed the ministers that the upcoming Cabinet meeting will be held on June 3 in Pachmarhi. The meeting is being organized in honour of Raja Bhubhutsingh, a valiant ruler of the Pachmarhi region.

Providing details about Raja Bhubhutsingh, Dr. Yadav said he was a brave and fearless king who fought against the British from within the forests and protected his people and territory for over two and a half years.

The Chief Minister said that holding the Cabinet meeting in Pachmarhi as a tribute to Raja Bhubhutsingh is a matter of great pride for the government, and reflects a commitment to honouring the heroic legacy of the region’s freedom fighters.

Agri-Industrial Summit in Narsinghpur Secures ₹4,736 Crore Investment Proposals

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav informed the Council of Ministers that the Agri-Industrial Summit–2025, held in Narsinghpur on May 26 in the esteemed presence of Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, achieved remarkable success. The summit, focused on agro-processing and food processing industries, saw participation from over 500 senior representatives of various industries. Dr. Yadav shared that the summit resulted in investment proposals worth ₹4,736 crore, which are expected to generate more than 6,100 new employment opportunities in the state.

Key Outcomes of NITI Aayog Meeting

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav informed the Cabinet that meeting of the NITI Aayog, chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, was held in New Delhi on May 24. During the meeting, the Prime Minister urged all states to align their developmental vision with the national goal of building a Developed India by 2047. Dr. Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh has already prepared its ‘Viksit MP 2047’ Vision Document. He emphasized the need to develop at least one world-class tourism destination in a state to attract international tourists and strengthen the local economy. Prepare an investment-friendly charter to attract more private sector participation.

He directed all ministers to prepare department-specific action plans based on the central vision document. Key points discussed in the meeting included Madhya Pradesh’s ongoing industrial growth, tourism development, and new investment initiatives.The success of the national river-linking project in the state, which led to NITI Aayog recommending the creation of an intra-state river grid to enhance water resource management.

CM Dr. Yadav informed that NITI Aayog also advised Promoting systematic urban development in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Providing skill development and vocational training to youth in emerging sectors to create new employment opportunities. Accelerating efforts toward women empowerment. Dr. Yadav affirmed that the state government will move forward with concrete steps to implement all the recommendations made by NITI Aayog.

ICAR to Conduct Nationwide Agricultural Awareness Campaign from May 29 to June 12

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav informed the Council of Ministers that the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will launch a nationwide agricultural awareness campaign from May 29 to June 12, covering all 723 districts of the country. As part of the initiative, four senior ICAR scientistswill visit each district to provide farmers with expert guidance based on local agro-climatic conditions. They will offer advice on Climate-resilient farming, Water and soil testing, Natural and organic farming practices, and Horticulture & advanced agricultural techniques. Dr. Yadav emphasised that district in-charge ministers and agriculture department officials will remain present during the programs to extend full cooperation to ICAR teams and ensure effective implementation of the campaign.

Progressive Feedback Received from Indore Cabinet Meeting

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the Cabinet meeting held in Indore on May 20—in honour of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar—yielded progressive feedback for the government. During the meeting, several public welfare decisions and development projects were approved. The meeting received a positive response from citizens and spiritual leaders across the state.

Three Key Events Scheduled in June

Dr. Yadav also informed the ministers that three significant events will be organized in June. The Schedule include June 5 – World Environment Day and Ganga Dashami. On this occasion, under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, water conservation activities will be held in every district across Madhya Pradesh. On June 21 –International Yoga Day, the state will promote the message of ‘Healthy Living through Yoga’ by organizing mass yoga sessions to reach the general public. On June 25 – Emergency Day, the state will observe the day to remember the hardships and resilience of that era, ensuring that democratic values are upheld.
