Honoring Heroes: Chhattisgarh’s New Martyr Police Cell.

Raipur : With the formation of the government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai in Chhattisgarh, the pace of development in the state has increased rapidly. In the good governance government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma has taken a sensitive decision to solve the problems of the state’s policemen and their families and has issued instructions to form a Martyr Police Cell. The objective of this initiative is to provide necessary help and support to the families of martyred policemen.

It is noteworthy that a few days ago, the family members of the martyred police personnel had met the Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma regarding their problems and apprised him of their problems. Then the Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma had assured them that efforts would be made to resolve their problems soon by discussing with the Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that a martyr police cell is being formed in every Range Inspector General of Police office. The main objective of this cell is to resolve the problems of the families of martyred policemen. The Range Inspector General of Police will be the chairman of the cell, while the Additional Superintendent of Police of the Range Headquarters, Deputy Superintendent of Police nominated by the Range Inspector General of Police and Inspector level officers will be the members.

The Shahid Police Cell will organize meetings at the unit level, range level and police headquarters level on the second Wednesday of every month to resolve the problems of the families of the martyred policemen. In this meeting, the problems of the families will be discussed and efforts will be made to resolve them. During the meeting, the families will also get an opportunity to present their problems. Apart from the meeting, a separate time has been set aside for the families of the martyred policemen every Wednesday so that they can present their issues. For this, instructions have been given to make arrangements as per the need so that the families of the martyred policemen can be present. If for some reason the problems are not resolved through the unit meeting, then efforts will be made to resolve them through the range level Shahid Police Cell. If the problem is not resolved at the level of the range level Shahid Police Cell, then it will be resolved by the Shahid Police constituted at the police headquarters level.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that these instructions have been issued with the aim of ensuring proper resolution of the problems of the families of martyred policemen. This initiative is an important step to provide mental and emotional support to the families of policemen as well as quick resolution of their problems. He said that this initiative is a meaningful effort to express respect and gratitude to the families of martyred policemen. It ensures that the care and assistance of the families of the policemen who have made the supreme sacrifice while discharging their duties is ensured.
