Review Meeting of Rural Development Department: Focus on timely completion of projects and high quality of works

Bhubaneswar : The monthly review meeting of the Rural Development Department was held in the Conference Hall of the Rural Development Department in Lok Seva Bhawan.  The meeting was chaired by Commissioner-Cum-Secretary Smt. Yamini Sarangi where detailed review of  the works of the department in all the districts of the state was done.

In this meeting, a detailed evaluation was made of the projects in different districts under NABARD-RIDF, PM JANMAN, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Sadak Yojana, CM- Grievances and all other schemes of the Department. The officers of the dept of different districts participated in this review meeting through video conference and apprised the Commissioner-cum- Secretary about the status of all the projects under construction.

Commissioner-cum-Secretary Smt. Sarangi directed the officers to ensure the completion of all the projects within the stipulated time and to emphasize on the quality of construction. She categorically directed all to maintain zero-tolerance for any construction-related deviation. The progress of the construction of the projects of different divisions was reviewed. Along with this, she directed to be careful to meet the financial targets.

The meeting was attended by Rega Geetarani Patnaik, Additional Secretary, Shri Sarbeswar Singh, Special Secretary, Smt. Babita Mohanty, Special Secretary, Smt. Sanghamitra Satpathy, Special Secretary,  EIC Shri Prasanna Kumar Sahu, EIC Shri Pradeep Kumar Jena and other senior officers. All the district level officers of the RD dept attended the review meeting through virtual medium.
