Ajmer’s Upcoming IT Park to Be Equipped with Modern Amenities : Assembly Speaker DevnaniKey Investors, IT Companies, and Startups Attend Major Stakeholders’ Meet
Jaipur : Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) organized a major workshop on Friday to discuss the roadmap and infrastructure plans for the proposed IT Park in Ajmer. Investors from across the country participated and were briefed in detail on the benefits of investing in the park, available infrastructure, and the state government’s support schemes.
Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Shri Vasudev Devnani, the chief guest at the event, shared that the development of the IT Park has been a long-cherished vision of his. As former Education Minister, he had promoted innovation in the education sector and now aspires to make Ajmer a hub of employment, innovation, and economic growth through the IT Park.
He noted that Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has sanctioned multi-crore projects for Ajmer in the recent budget, which will help develop the city into a Smart City. Basic infrastructure such as electricity and water is being upgraded in the IT Park. A 132 KV gas-based GSS (Grid Sub-Station) is planned to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Additionally, the Bisalpur water allocation for Ajmer has been increased with the construction of a new intake well.
A Science Park is also proposed to encourage scientific thinking among children. Devnani highlighted Ajmer’s skilled workforce, improved water availability, and strong connectivity as key advantages for investors. A grand entry gate is being built to welcome visitors, and a Convention Centre is planned for seminars and events.
“This IT Park is the foundation of a brighter future,” he said. “We must aim to become job creators, not job seekers. A strong startup ecosystem is essential for this.” The park will foster the growth of startups and give Ajmer’s youth a chance to contribute to local development.
RIICO Managing Director Shivangi Swarnkar said the Ajmer IT Park will be the fourth major IT hub in Rajasthan after Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur. Spread over 11.15 hectares, it is located just 25 km from Kishangarh Airport and 1 km from the Pushkar-Jaipur Highway. Plots ranging from 500 to 3000 sq. meters will be available to investors, along with green zones, water, electricity, parking, and other facilities.
She added that the government is offering various incentives to promote investments and startups, including stamp duty exemptions, SGST subsidies, special incentives for women investors, and land conversion benefits.
The IT Park will support investment commitments made during the state’s “Rising Rajasthan” investor summit, helping firms establish IT-based industries. It will generate local employment, bring new investments to Rajasthan, and contribute to the growth of India’s IT sector.
During the event, an IT Park brochure was launched, and a short film by RIICO was screened to introduce the project to investors. Feedback from the workshop will shape the park’s future development plans.
Mr. Devnani also visited the designated land for the park, unveiled the foundation plaque, and officially commenced construction. A large number of investors and RIICO officials were present. Entrepreneurs were given a detailed presentation on the IT Park’s features.
