Lawngtlai Dc Graces Diet Lawngtlai’s Thanksgiving & Farewell Programme
Lawngtlai : The District Institute of Education & Training (DIET), Lawngtlai, held its Thanksgiving & Farewell Programme today at the Multipurpose Hall, DIET Campus, Thingkah. The event was graced by the Deputy Commissioner of Lawngtlai, Pu Cheemala Siva Gopal Reddy, IAS, as the chief guest.

In his address, the Deputy Commissioner expressed gratitude and encouragement to the graduating 4th Semester students, highlighting their potential and urging them to continue striving for excellence. He encouraged the students to uphold discipline, stay motivated, and aim to serve the society and the nation with dedication in their future roles as educators.
Pu Cheemala Siva Gopal Reddy emphasized that teachers play a pivotal role in shaping society and that teaching is a noble and respected profession. He advised the students to be not only knowledgeable but also to instill values and inspire future generations. He noted that those seeking higher education should consider continuing their studies in reputable institutions within Mizoram and also prepare for competitive exams, as Lawngtlai still lags behind in that area.
He specifically encouraged the 1st Semester (Class of 2025) students to stay committed and sincere in their studies and make the most of the training at DIET. He urged all trainees to be valuable assets to their communities, the state, and the nation by continuing to improve their knowledge and character.
As part of the programme, a symbolic Candle Lighting Ceremony was conducted by the Principal, lecturers, and 4th Semester students. Pi Ngur Hmingliani Chinzah, Principal of DIET Lawngtlai, presented mementoes to the outgoing students, and Pu N. Ramfangzaua, Lecturer, delivered the vote of thanks to conclude the event.
DIET Lawngtlai was established in 2005 at Thingkah. At present, the institute has 11 lecturers and 95 enrolled trainees.
