Conducts Surprise Inspection at Chief Minister’s Pharmacy in Thanjavur – Directly Reviews Medicine Stock and Quality

During his visit to Thanjavur to participate in various government events on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M. K. Stalin, paid a surprise visit to the Chief Minister’s Pharmacy located in Thanjavur on 15.06.2025 and conducted a detailed inspection.

During this inspection, he directly enquired with officials about the availability of medicines, distribution methods, and the public’s access to the facility.

With a strong focus on public welfare, the Chief Minister thoroughly examined the implementation and service delivery of the Chief Minister’s Pharmacy Scheme, which aims to provide medicines at subsidised rates, and also assessed the quality of medicines being distributed.

Officials at the pharmacy expressed their satisfaction to the Chief Minister, stating that the scheme has been well-received by the general public, and has significantly reduced the cost of medical expenses for many people.
