All Departments Must Remain on Alert Mode to Promptly Address Public Grievances – Minister Meghana Sakore-Bordikar
Minister reviews key departments in Raigad; emphasizes speedy redressal and scheme implementation
Raigad : Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare, Water Supply and Sanitation, Energy, Women and Child Development, and Public Works (Public Undertakings), Meghana Sakore-Bordikar has directed all departments to work in “alert mode” to swiftly resolve public grievances and effectively implement welfare schemes initiated by the State and Central Governments.
Chairing a review meeting at the Raigad District Collectorate today, Minister Sakore-Bordikar took a comprehensive review of departments including Public Health and Family Welfare, Water Supply and Sanitation, Energy, Women and Child Development, and Public Works. The meeting was attended by MP Dhairyashil Patil, Zilla Parishad CEO Neha Bhosale, Sub-Divisional Officer Dr. Ravindra Shelke, former MLA Pandit Patil, and officials from various departments.
Focus on Drinking Water and Scheme Implementation
The review focused on the implementation and planning of water supply schemes in Raigad district, particularly to address drinking water issues in rural areas. Detailed discussions were held regarding progress in these projects and solutions for delivering pipelines to remaining villages.
The Minister announced that a special review meeting will be held at the State Secretariat on Raigad’s water supply issues, the Jal Jeevan Mission, and projects under the Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran.
She instructed that vacant posts in the Public Health Department should be filled urgently and stressed the need for 100% execution of all health services and schemes.
Electricity Supply and Infrastructure Improvements
Addressing concerns about electricity distribution, Minister Bordikar directed that:
- Power-related complaints be resolved immediately.
- Authorities ensure uninterrupted power supply and remain vigilant at all times.
- Overhead wiring be removed where underground wiring has been completed.
- The recurring failure of transformers be investigated, with solutions implemented.
- Under the Seva Saptah (Service Week) initiative, dangerous electrical zones identified must undergo urgent corrective measures.
She emphasized that every officer from every department should treat public complaints seriously and with urgency, ensuring swift redressal.
At the beginning of the meeting, department heads presented detailed reports on their ongoing initiatives. CEO Neha Bhosale informed the gathering that the administration is actively working towards the district’s development and that various schemes are being implemented with increased efficiency.
