Chief Justice Bhushan Gavai Arrives in Nagpur, Welcomed by High Court Judges and Administration

Nagpur : Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India, Justice Bhushan Gavai, arrived today at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur. He was warmly received by judges of the High Court and senior officials of the administration.

This marks Justice Gavai’s first visit to Nagpur after assuming office as the Chief Justice of India. On this occasion, the following dignitaries extended their greetings: Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court Alok Aradhe, Administrative Judge of the Nagpur Bench Justice Nitin Sambre, Senior Justice Anil Kilor, Divisional Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari, Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravindra Singal, Special Inspector General of Police (Anti-Naxal Operations) Sandeep Patil, Special IG Dr. Dilip Bhujbal, Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari, District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar, Chairman of Nagpur Improvement Trust Sanjay Mina, Zilla Parishad CEO Vinayak Mahamuni, Superintendent of Police Harsh Poddar, Vice-Chancellor of National Law University Dr. Vijendra Kumar, Registrar Dr. Ragini Khubalkar, and President of the High Court Bar Association, Advocate Atul Pandey. Senior officials from the legal and administrative sectors were also present.

Chief Justice Bhushan Gavai will be staying in Nagpur until June 29, 2025, during which he is scheduled to attend a series of events.
