Tapkara Gets A New Identity: Cm Inaugurates Tehsil Office, Announces Nagar Panchayat Status

Raipur : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated the Tehsildar and Executive Magistrate Office in Tapkara, Jashpur district. This fulfills his earlier announcement made on January 14 during his visit to Jashpur, where he had promised to grant Tapkara the status of a full-fledged tehsil. With this upgrade, residents of 33 surrounding villages, including farmers, students, and general citizens, will now have easier access to administrative services.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also declared that Tapkara would be granted Nagar Panchayat (town council) status. Additionally, he sanctioned ₹50 lakh for the beautification of the Tapkara Sports Stadium and announced the construction of a rest house in Farsabahar.

Speaking at the event, CM Sai said, “Our government is rapidly implementing every aspect of ‘Modi’s Guarantee’ across all fronts of development.” He highlighted key initiatives:

  • In the very first Cabinet meeting, 18 lakh houses were approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
  • Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, over 70 lakh women are receiving ₹1,000 per month to empower them financially.
  • The support price for tendu leaves has been raised to ₹5,500 per standard bag to enhance the income of forest produce gatherers.
  • To bring banking services to rural areas, Atal Digital Service Centres are being set up across villages, with plans to launch them in every gram panchayat on the upcoming Panchayat Day.

CM Sai also emphasized the implementation of 10 new revolutionary reforms in the land registration process, making it more transparent, digital, citizen-centric, and efficient.

District Collector Mr. Rohit Vyas noted that the new tehsil office will significantly benefit local farmers, landowners, students, and residents. He also informed that the link court of SDM Farsabahar will commence operations from the coming Monday.

MLA Smt. Gomati Sai remarked that under CM Vishnu Deo Sai’s leadership, Chhattisgarh is witnessing rapid progress. She added that the state government is working with full commitment to ensure public convenience and inclusive development.

The program was attended by District Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai, Municipal Vice President Shri Yash Pratap Singh Judev, Shri Bharat Sai, Shri Rohit Sai, IG Shri Deepak Kumar Jha, SP Shri Shashi Mohan Singh, Tapkara Sarpanch Smt. Savita Jaiswal, and a large gathering of public representatives, officials, and villagers.
