Legal Awareness Session Held on Cyber Hygiene and Medical Negligence

Jaipur : A legal awareness session on Cyber Hygiene and Medical Negligence was organized under the joint aegis of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jaipur District, and S.S. Jain Subodh Law College. The session provided students with vital information on the contemporary topics of cyber hygiene and medical negligence. The event was inaugurated, and the keynote speaker welcomed by Dr. Gaurav Kataria, Principal of the college.

During the session, the keynote speaker Mr. Pawan Kumar Jeenwal, Secretary, DLSA Jaipur District, explained how cybercrimes can be prevented by using secure passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and practicing responsible internet usage. He advised students to remain vigilant against cyber phishing, digital arrest scams, and social media fraud. He also shared details of the 1930 cybercrime helpline and the ‘Sanchar Sarathi’ portal. Mr. Jeenwal further elaborated on the legal process and provisions through which victims of cyber fraud can recover their lost money.

He also briefed students on medical negligence—the types of cases, where to lodge complaints, and the legal procedures involved. In addition, he raised awareness about emerging issues like the misuse of Artificial Intelligence, emotional fraud, and medical negligence. Mr. Jeenwal also familiarized students with the Legal Aid Defence Counsel System and the various roles of the District Legal Services Authority.

As part of the program, students presented a street play titled “Jhansa in the Cyber Jungle,” which creatively spread awareness among peers and the audience about cyber fraud.

Principal Dr. Gaurav Kataria stated that S.S. Jain Subodh Law College remains committed to promoting legal literacy in society through regular legal awareness initiatives. The event was attended by faculty members and students of the college. The program was coordinated and concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Bhavya Gangwal.
