Under CM Fadnavis’ Chairmanship, Review Meeting of MAHAPREIT Projects Held
CM Urges MAHAPREIT to Prioritize and Complete Long-Term Sustainable Projects
Mumbai : Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today directed that Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT), a subsidiary under the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, should prioritize and complete sustainable, long-term projects while considering future challenges.
A comprehensive review meeting of MAHAPREIT’s ongoing and upcoming projects was chaired by CM Fadnavis at the State Legislative Assembly today. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Social Justice Minister Sanjay Shirsat, Minister of State Madhuri Misal, Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, and other senior officials were present.
During the meeting, various key projects were reviewed, including:
- Thane Cluster Development Project
- Software Technology and Data Centre Projects
- PM Awas Yojana under Bhiwandi Municipal Corporation
- Slum Rehabilitation Projects
- Rooftop Solar Projects for MSMEs
- Solar/Hybrid Projects in collaboration with NTPC Green
- Solar Power Projects in partnership with NTPC Green, NIRL, and SECI
- District Cooling System Project
- Solar Project at National Cancer Institute, Nagpur
- Integrated Command and Control Centre for Pune Municipal Corporation
- Redevelopment of Mahalaxmi Temple and surrounding precincts
The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the progress made in these initiatives.
CM Fadnavis emphasized the need to expedite the completion of slum rehabilitation projects. He further recommended that instead of spreading across multiple domains, MAHAPREIT should develop expertise in specific sectors and focus its efforts in those selected areas.

Govindraj (Principal Secretary), Saurabh Vijay (Principal Secretary, Finance), Atul Patne (Principal Secretary, Tourism), Dr. Harshdeep Kamble (Principal Secretary, Social Justice), Bipin Shrimali (Managing Director, MAHAPREIT), Director Vijay Kalm Patil, and Babasaheb Beldar (Managing Director, Mahatma Phule Backward Class Development Corporation), among other dignitaries.
