CM Dhami Flags Off Kalash Yatra from Dehradun for Jalabhishek of Lord Surya’s Idol in Kushinagar
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday flagged off the Kalash Yatra from the Chief Minister’s residence in Dehradun, destined for Kushinagar district for the Jalabhishek (ritualistic water offering) of Lord Surya’s idol.
As part of this sacred event, water from around 151 holy rivers across the country is being collected for the Jalabhishek. In this context, the Kalash Yatra carrying water from the holy rivers of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand was ceremonially flagged off by the Chief Minister.
Present during the occasion were Mahamandaleshwar Shri 1008 Dr. Swami Shri Santoshanand Dev Ji Maharaj, President of the Purvanchal Mahotsav Committee Vinay Rai, and other committee members.
