Tamil Nadu Appoints Senior IAS Officers as Official Government Spokespersons to Streamline Public Communication

To ensure the timely and accurate dissemination of important government policies, schemes, and updates to the public through the media, and to facilitate better coordination with various departments, the Government of Tamil Nadu has appointed senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers as official government spokespersons.

Official Appointment of Government Spokespersons
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, has appointed the following senior IAS officers as government spokespersons, entrusting them with the responsibility of representing the government’s key initiatives and updates to the public through the media and in coordination with relevant departments:

Role and Responsibility of Government Spokespersons:
Each designated government spokesperson will liaise with department secretaries and officials to receive updates and policy information. After verifying the authenticity of these updates with the respective Additional Chief Secretary or department head, the spokespersons will convey clear, accurate, and timely information to the media.

This structured communication mechanism aims to enhance transparency and ensure the public receives reliable information about the government’s plans, schemes, and important announcements without delay.
