Swift Implementation of Public-Centric Works is Essential: Minister Otaram Dewasi Directs Officials to Expedite Development Projects

On Friday, Minister of State for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Shri Otaram Dewasi, chaired a review meeting at the Sirohi Zila Parishad office. He reviewed the progress of various rural development and panchayati raj projects, state budget announcements related to Sirohi over the past two years, the achievements under the Vande Ganga Water Conservation Mission, and the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Sambal Campaign.

The minister also evaluated the status of grievances addressed and resolved across various departments.

Shri Dewasi emphasized that all departmental officers must regularly review progress and resolve any issues in coordination with senior officials and local public representatives. He urged officials to ensure prompt implementation of government welfare schemes and address public grievances effectively and efficiently.

He reiterated that the state government is fully committed to promptly addressing public issues, implementing welfare decisions quickly, and ensuring every eligible citizen receives the intended benefits. Officers should align their actions with the state government’s intent and work diligently to complete all pending tasks.

Shri Dewasi also took stock of the works completed under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the condition of toilets in schools, and the initiatives undertaken by self-help groups (Rajeevika). He instructed that all approved construction projects under various departments in the district must begin immediately and that ongoing projects be completed at the earliest to ensure the public reaps the benefits.

He further directed that all pending proposals related to development projects should be completed and submitted within the stipulated timeframe. District-level officers were asked to provide updates on grievances received and resolved through their respective offices and were given necessary instructions regarding pending cases.

The meeting was attended by the District Collector, Development Officers of Panchayat Samitis, and officials from other departments.
