Raipur : Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai attended the oath-taking ceremony of newly elected state-level office bearers of the Satnami community at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium, Medical College, Raipur. Congratulating the new office bearers, he emphasized that education is the key to the progress of any society, and called for collective effort towards the community’s all-round development.

Jaitkham at Giroudpuri a Global Symbol of Pride

Chief Minister Sai stated that during the tenure of former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, a Jaitkham taller than the Qutub Minar was constructed at Giroudpuri Dham, along with numerous development initiatives. This not only enhanced the pride of the Satnami community but also gave it recognition on the global stage.

He reaffirmed the commitment to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047, and said that Chhattisgarh too has taken a pledge to become a developed state by the same year. “With the blessings of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji, we are confident of achieving this goal,” he stated.

Key Announcements for Community Development

On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced ₹1 crore for the construction of a multipurpose Satnami Bhavan in Raipur. He also approved ₹50 lakh to complete pending works at the Madwa Mahal in Giroudpuri. Further, he declared an incentive of ₹5,000 each for meritorious students, particularly those performing well in Class 10 and 12 board examinations, who were also felicitated during the event.

Leaders Emphasize Unity, Education, and Service

Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, congratulating the newly elected office bearers, said that dedicated, sincere, and honest leadership enhances the credibility and unity of the community, driving it forward. He commended the new leadership under Mr. L.L. Kosle for initiating plans to construct a grand Dharamshala at Giroudpuri Dham.

Dr. Singh reflected on his own public life of 40 years, during which he served as MLA, MP, Minister, Chief Minister, and now Speaker, attributing his journey to the blessings of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji. He highlighted Baba Ji’s message of “equality for all”, the white flag, and white attire as symbols of peace and harmony. He praised the Panthi dance as a cultural expression of Chhattisgarh’s identity, promoting the state’s image of peace worldwide.

He expressed confidence that with collective effort and divine blessings, Chhattisgarh will become the most developed state in the country in the coming years.

Deputy CM and Ministers Also Extend Support

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma, extending congratulations, emphasized that social unity and education are two pillars for the advancement of any community. He advocated for regular encouragement and recognition of academic achievers and expressed hope that the Satnami community would reach new heights of progress in the years to come.

Food Minister Mr. Dayal Das Baghel also congratulated the new office bearers and reminded them of their responsibility to empower the community, particularly through education, entrepreneurship, and self-employment. He announced that a national seminar would be held at Giroudpuri Dham in the presence of spiritual leaders of the Satnami community from across the country, following the “Guru Darshan” event.

The event was also addressed by MP Mrs. Kamlesh Jangde, MLA Mr. Punnulal Mohile, Guru Khushwant Saheb, and the newly elected state president of Progressive Satnami Society Mr. L.L. Kosle.

The ceremony was attended by several legislators including Mr. Domanlal Korsewada, Mrs. Uttari Jangde, Mrs. Sheshraj Harvansh, Mrs. Kavita Pran Lahare, and representatives of the Satnami community from other states like Mr. Kamlesh Das (Uttar Pradesh), Mr. Madan Satnami (Assam), Mr. Shyam Das (Bihar), Suraj Bharti (Odisha), Mr. Mahendra Satnami (Rajasthan – Marwar Satnami Society), Mr. Kishan Banjare (Madhya Pradesh), and Dr. Jagjeevan Khare (Delhi).

Representatives from other communities such as the Sahu Samaj, Yadav Samaj, Kurmi Samaj, and All Tribal Society also participated in the event, showcasing a spirit of social unity and inclusivity.
