Minister Meghna Sakore-Bordikar Directs Effective Implementation of Government Schemes to Reach Common Citizens
Hingoli, Aug 2025 : The government is implementing numerous schemes for the welfare of the general public. These schemes must be effectively implemented so that their benefits reach every citizen, directed Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare, Water Supply and Sanitation, Energy, Women and Child Development, and Public Works (Public Enterprises) Meghna Sakore-Bordikar during a review meeting of the Kalamnuri and Vasmat sub-divisions.
Former MLA Gajanan Ghughe, Shashikant Vadkute, Sub-Divisional Officer Pratiksha Bhute, Tehsildar Jeevakkumar Kamble, and other officials were present. In Vasmat, CEO Mrs. Anjali Ramesh, SDO Vikas Mane, Tehsildar Sharda Dalvi, and heads of all departments attended.
The Minister highlighted various women and child welfare schemes such as the Child Care Scheme for needy women and children, the Sakhi One-Stop Center, Women’s Helpline 181, and the National Nutrition Mission, stressing the need for effective public awareness to ensure maximum reach.
She instructed the health department to increase TB screenings under the TB-free campaign, provide timely treatment to suspected patients, and raise awareness about organ donation, dengue, malaria, Ayushman Bharat, and other health programmes. She emphasized running ‘Dry Day’ drives and ensuring free distribution of blood pressure and diabetes medicines at primary health centers.
In the Kalamnuri sub-division, she directed that road works should be of high quality, and any substandard work should be investigated with action taken against those responsible. She also called for the speedy completion of pending projects under the PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme, Solar Pump Scheme, Kusum Scheme, and CM Solar Agricultural Feeder.
Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, every household, school, and anganwadi should have tap connections, with the work done to high standards and on time. Contractors neglecting work should be blacklisted, and departments showing negligence will face action.
She also stressed 100% ODF Plus status for villages under the Swachh Bharat Mission, proper solid waste management, and public toilet facilities. On Independence Day, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Har Ghar Swachhta’ campaigns should be implemented effectively, with reports submitted.
The Minister addressed complaints about delays in PM Awas Yojana benefits, directing that eligible beneficiaries without land be assisted under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Scheme for land purchase and then provided housing benefits.
She also instructed that benefits of agricultural schemes like PM Micro Food Processing Industries, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Crop Insurance, Fruit Orchard Plantation, and Nanaji Deshmukh Krishi Sanjivani be made available to rural people. Issues related to farm roads and pending mutations should be resolved promptly, and ration supplies should be regular to prevent complaints.
At the end of the Kalamnuri meeting, an organ donation pledge was taken. In Vasmat, she reviewed the e-Sanjeevani campaign, directed timely treatment for suspected patients, and called for special awareness drives for malaria-free villages and TB eradication.
She also instructed action on power supply issues, including installation of new poles, stretching of wires, and fixing meters promptly.
The meeting was attended by district and taluka-level heads from health, women and child development, water supply, and electricity departments, among others.
