A Balanced Budget Investing Heavily in India’s Future – Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Mumbai : Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, calling the first budget of the third term under Modi’s leadership a balanced budget and a significant investment in India’s future.

At a press conference, Fadnavis highlighted the benefits Maharashtra will gain from this budget. He noted that Maharashtra recently launched a job training scholarship scheme for youth skill development, which mirrors a new initiative in the Union Budget. This major program aims to train 1 crore youth, offering ₹5,000 per month and a lump sum of ₹6,000. This will greatly benefit Maharashtra in terms of youth employment, Fadnavis said. Additionally, the decision to provide education loans up to ₹10 lakh with a 3 percent interest concession is also crucial.

Fadnavis highlighted that the budget includes a record capital investment of ₹11 lakh crore, with groundbreaking decisions in the electricity sector, including pumped storage, nuclear power, and ultra-supercritical thermal power plants. The budget also provides tax relief of around ₹17,500 to the general public. Significant provisions have been made for farmers, women, youth, and the poor. Maharashtra has received substantial funding for various projects, including irrigation, roads, and metro infrastructure.
