Sea of Devotees Throng Baba Ramdev Ji’s Samadhi; Improved Arrangements Win Hearts of Pilgrims

Jaipur, Aug 2025 . A massive wave of devotees is flocking to Baba Ramdev’s annual fair to pay respects at his Samadhi. Pilgrims from across the country are arriving at the holy site with deep faith and devotion.

This year, the fair’s preparations and arrangements have especially caught the attention of visitors. Through coordinated efforts, the district administration, police, medical services, Public Health Engineering, electricity department, Pokaran Municipality, disaster management, and the Department of Information and Public Relations, Jaisalmer, have presented a model of management that is being widely appreciated.

Administrative readiness reflects good governance—
To fulfill Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma’s resolve for good governance, the district administration has given top priority to arrangements at the fair. District Collector Shri Pratap Singh, Superintendent of Police Shri Abhishek Shivhare, and other senior officers inspected preparations and issued clear directions to ensure that devotees face no inconvenience.

Robust police and traffic management—
Considering the increased number of devotees this year, the police department made strong arrangements for law, order, and security management. The entire fair area has been secured with extensive police deployment, CCTV surveillance, foot patrols, and special measures for women’s safety. Traffic police also played an effective role in parking, vehicle movement, and crowd control.

Medical services as support—
Round-the-clock medical services have been made available at the fair. Seven health posts, one mobile OPD van, and 14 ambulances are providing emergency care to devotees. Since 11 August, more than 50,000 devotees have already received medical assistance.

Special focus on drinking water and sanitation—
The Public Health Engineering Department has ensured the availability of clean drinking water throughout the fairgrounds. To prevent waterlogging, the drainage system has been improved. The Ramdeora Gram Panchayat has deployed sufficient sanitation workers, playing a vital role in keeping the entire fair area clean.

Electricity, lighting, and night arrangements—
Uninterrupted electricity supply has been ensured during the fair. Adequate and improved lighting arrangements have also been made for the night hours.
