Vishwakarma Young Entrepreneur Promotion Scheme – Self-Employment to Empower Youth in Rajasthan

Entrepreneurship Among Youth to Find a New Path – State Government Under CM Bhajanlal Sharma Committed to Youth Welfare

Jaipur, Sept 2025 : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the Rajasthan government is working with commitment to make the youth self-reliant and give wings to their dreams. Through various policies and decisions, the government is ensuring that young people receive ample opportunities, resources, and support to progress in life. In line with this vision, the State Cabinet approved the Vishwakarma Young Entrepreneur Promotion Scheme on August 23, 2025.

The scheme aims to encourage self-employment among youth, foster entrepreneurship, and open new avenues for job creation. It will not only help the youth become self-reliant but also transform them into employment providers for others.

Loan of up to ₹2 Crore with 8% Interest Subsidy

Under the scheme, youth between 18 to 45 years will be provided loans through financial institutions at concessional interest rates. They can use these loans to set up their own enterprise, or to expand, diversify, or modernize existing ventures. An interest subsidy of up to 8% will be provided on loans of up to ₹2 crore. This will reduce financial barriers, enabling young entrepreneurs to focus on innovation, quality, and business expansion.

1% Additional Subsidy for Special Categories

To make the scheme fully inclusive, the government has introduced special provisions. Women, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), differently-abled entrepreneurs, rural enterprises, and card-holding weavers and artisans will receive an additional 1% interest subsidy on loans exceeding ₹1 crore and up to ₹2 crore. This will ensure equal opportunities for self-reliance across all sections of society.

Additionally, to ease the financial burden, the scheme offers margin money assistance of 25% or up to ₹5 lakh on loans provided by financial institutions.

Part of a Broader Vision for Rajasthan’s Economic Prosperity

This ambitious initiative is not limited to just loans and subsidies—it is part of a far-sighted policy to take Rajasthan’s economy to new heights. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma believes that the youth are the future of both the state and the nation. Guided by this vision, the government continues to frame innovative, youth-centric policies.

Key initiatives such as the Rajasthan Skill Policy, Youth Employment Promotion Scheme, and Youth Policy 2025 are important steps towards a brighter future. The government has set a target of creating 4 lakh jobs in the public sector and 6 lakh jobs in the private sector over five years. Alongside, continuous investments are being made in education, skill development, startup promotion, and employment-oriented programs.

The Vishwakarma Young Entrepreneur Promotion Scheme is expected to lay a strong foundation for a self-employment revolution in the state, empowering Rajasthan’s youth and driving long-term prosperity.
