Teacher Shortage Resolved Through Rationalization, Continuity in Students’ Education Ensured
Raipur, Sept 2025 : In line with the vision of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the School Education Department has been addressing the shortage of teachers in schools through a rationalization process. This initiative has helped in the adjustment of surplus teachers while also ensuring continuity of education in schools without teachers and in single-teacher schools.
In Mahasamund district, a total of 703 teachers have been adjusted through the counseling process under rationalization. These include 126 teachers from Basna block, 152 from Saraipali, 139 from Pithora, 211 from Mahasamund, and 75 from Bagbahara.
Under this process, a mathematics teacher was appointed to Santpali High School in Basna block, while Government Higher Secondary School Durgapali received a physics teacher. With these appointments, teaching has resumed smoothly in these schools.
The fulfillment of teacher vacancies has created a sense of joy among students and parents. They said that the government’s decision will brighten the future of children, who will now receive quality education under the regular guidance of subject experts.
