CM’s Prosperous Panchayat Raj Campaign is a People’s Movement – Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare
Raigad, Sept 2025 : The Chief Minister’s Prosperous Panchayat Raj Campaign will be implemented from September 17 to December 31, 2025, by the Ministry of Rural Development. This initiative is a positive step towards village development, said Women and Child Development Minister Kumari Aditi Tatkare. She emphasized that if all villagers work collectively, real development of villages can be achieved. She was speaking at the district-level workshop of the campaign held at the RCF Hall in Kurul under Raigad Zilla Parishad.
Present on the occasion were Rural Employment Minister Bharat Gogavale, YASHADA Deputy Director Dr. Mallinath Kalshetty, District Collector Kishan Jawale, CEO Neha Bhosale, Superintendent of Police Aachal Dalal, Additional CEO Satyajit Bade, Project Director of District Rural Development Agency Priyadarshini More, Deputy CEO of General Administration Jaalindar Pathare, Deputy CEO of Gram Panchayat Department Vishal Tanpure, Primary Education Officer Lalita Dahitule, Secondary Education Officer Maharudra Nale, Health Officer Dr. Manisha Vikhe, along with Zilla Parishad department heads, block development officers, gram panchayat officers, and sarpanches.
Minister Tatkare said that gram panchayats are the best medium to deliver state and central government schemes to the people. The Chief Minister’s campaign is based on seven key components. She urged everyone to work together to ensure cleaner villages and to prioritize water conservation as a major goal.
She added that the government is committed to sustainable and holistic rural development, ensuring that schemes reach the people’s doorsteps through this campaign. “If villages are empowered, districts will be empowered; if districts are empowered, states will be empowered; and if states are empowered, the nation will be strong,” said Rural Employment Minister Bharat Gogavale. He assured full cooperation to make the campaign a success through effective implementation of all schemes.
The campaign focuses on seven elements aimed at creating a people-centric administration. In the district, 507 gram panchayats already have Setu Centers, providing citizens with necessary certificates directly through the panchayat. Additionally, bamboo plantations on at least one hectare in every gram panchayat jurisdiction are being undertaken to generate economic income for local bodies. District Collector Kishan Jawale informed that the campaign would be implemented effectively across Raigad district.
CEO Neha Bhosale guided officials by highlighting that everyone must contribute to enrich villages under this campaign. A competitive framework has been set up between gram panchayats, panchayat samitis, and the Zilla Parishad to encourage effective implementation of schemes. She stressed that the campaign must be conducted in such a way that people feel it is their own, ensuring greater public participation.
Dr. Mallinath Kalshetty, Deputy Director of YASHADA, provided guidance to gram panchayat officers and sarpanches on how to effectively implement the campaign. He stated that after consultations with several sarpanches and officials, the decision to launch this campaign was finalized.
